program that meets the needs of all students while providing the opportunity
to deliver education to each student in a more authentic way.
Components:

- Remediation
- Extended Learning
- Enrichment
- Activities
Goals:
- Provide mandatory tutoring
to students who have below 70% in a class on a weekly basis.

or above on state End-of-Instruction Tests (Algebra I and English II).
- Increase the number of students
scoring Satisfactory on End-of-Instruction tests.

passing with a 3 or higher on Advanced Placement exams.
How It Works:

Antler Time News
Parents:
My name is Natalie White, and I am the new Student Support Coordinator for Deer Creek High School. My husband is attending OCU Law School, which is what brings us to Oklahoma. We just moved to Edmond from McKinney, TX. For the past five years, I have been serving McKinney Boyd High School as the Peer Assistance and Leadership Coordinator and the High School Teen Leadership Teacher. I am so thankful for the opportunity to work with your students here at Deer Creek.
For those of you who have freshmen students or who are new to Deer Creek, we have a program called FLEX. We will have FLEX nine times each semester. FLEX will always occur on Wednesday from 1:35-2:50. During this time, all students who have a 69 or below in any subject area will be required to attend mandatory tutoring. For all students who have a 70 or above in all of their subjects, we offer a variety of enrichment activities for the students to attend. I have listed a few of these opportunities below. Freshmen, whether passing or not passing, are required to stay for FLEX. Sophomores, juniors, and seniors who are passing all of their classes have the option to go home at 1:30 on FLEX days. However, if they choose to exit, they must fill out an Exit Form each week. I have given instructions on how to obtain and fill out an Exit Form below. I would encourage all students to stay and attend the enrichment sessions.
I am looking forward to a rewarding and successful year. Please let me know if there is anything I can do to help make your child more successful.

Exit and Check-out Procedures for Flex Wednesday
We offer many enrichment activities and other services for students during Antler Time and we encourage students to stay on campus. However, some families take advantage of flex Wednesday to schedule doctors’ appointments.
Students in grades 10-12 may elect to exit during Antler Time via an Exit Form. In order to exit, students must complete an exit form and return it to Mrs. White in the Central Office by noon on the Monday before flex Wednesday. Exit forms are available online through the Antler Time link on the high school website. Forms are date-specific and the student must complete a form for each exit.
Students who have been assigned mandatory tutoring or remediation may only sign-out during flex with a parent present. Students who have not been assigned tutoring or remediation may sign-out using regular check-out procedures.
